AmaDirector features a high performance engine that reads and processes raw AMA BAF formatted records into
an easy to understand and use intermediate format that makes it extremely easy to filter, sort, and aggregate
(combine) data from multiple switch sources, and provides the data for analysis. The filtering feature provides
a very versatile method of filtering on multiple fields without having to know complex query statements.
Files can be "grouped" by switch source if desired to allow specific filtering on switch specific fields such
as OrigTrunkGroup and TermTrunkGroup. The filtered records from within each such group are then aggregated into
a common view.
Projects can be set up to specify input files or input file directories, and can be pre-configured with
specific filtering criteria, display columns, and sort options, and can be re-used as needed or on a recurring
basis to perform common functions.
While AmaDirector will normally process most AMA call records automatically, it is possible to "tweak" certain
business rules, such as exactly how to handle E.164 and LRN modules.
AmaDirector provides extensive statistics about the AMA records read, processed, and filtered throughout the
process. Statistics are organized by several key items, including Carrier, Orig Trunk Group, Term Trunk Group,
and CallType, and are kept at the individual input file level, the switch source level, and the overall
aggregated level.
AmaDirector supports most common AMA structure codes, call types, and modules, with ability to automatically
download and apply updates for new supported features. AmaDirector is a standalone program and does not
require complex setup or management tasks – it’s simply easy to use.
